This is my first Islander Watch, though I’ve long been a fan of Long Island Watches and the founder Marc’s take on watches, the import fees put me off. However as one of my favourite AD’s Serious Watches now stock them it felt like the time was right.

If you look through my site you might notice a preference for complications and tool watches so this watch was always going to be looked on favorably by me. As well as that though I like the presence of this watch.
The trend right now seems to be towards smaller watches, which is fine for a dress watch that needs to fit under a cuff but I like a tool watch to have a bit of presence.
